Guest Bio Ann Peck
Ann used to be afraid to leave her house, and now she travels the world. She is an inspirational speaker, writer and host of the podcast, Straight Talk for a Curvy World™ for women over 40…. where she shares intimate conversations with women and a few men, who talk about the things, we don’t talk about… things we hide because of guilt, shame or fear.
Ann was named a Family Catalyst by the Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health and is featured in “Silence Speaks,” “Stories of Survival” and she wrote and starred in the short film “Journey out of Abuse.” Her newest book, will be released September 20 as part of the annual Straight Talk for a Curvy World™ LIVE! conference.
As a mentor and women’s empowerment leader, Ann shares The I AM Habits™ worldwide, through her live events, exclusive retreats and online community teaching women how to love their lives, and their businesses, from the inside out.
“(With Isis) Here’s a woman who’s like the champion and leader; that’s pretty rare”
With uses her podcast, Straight Talk for a Curvy World, as a spotlight for other people’s stories. Each episode is a conversation with another individual, a man or woman, talking about the things that aren’t typically spoke about in public.
“I’m a firm believer that when we are hiding from the truth and the reality of who we are, where we’ve been and what has happened, then the self-destruction begins”
Ann believes that sharing secrets will give you a sense of true freedom.
At her upcoming live event in September, Ann will be releasing her new self-published book. Nicole notes that self-publishing a book can be just as profitable as going through a publisher, as long as the proper quality controls are put in place. She adds that a live event is a great way to build momentum about your book or product.
The top lesson Ann has learned about doing a book launch event is that you have to plan ahead and figure out your pricing and expenses will before promoting the book. Nicole’s most recent book became profitable the day she launched it.
“My launch paid for itself, and then some.”
Ann had the opportunity to create her own alter ego for The Prosperity Dimension book, and was excited to put herself out there in a way that wasn’t her, but still represented her.
“I came to realize that the work I do is to really provide transformation.”
Nicole believes there is a power to alter egos, as you get to play up certain things and be different.
For Ann, joy represents a big part of who she is.
“I am a huge believer that happiness comes from the outside in; whereas joy is something that comes from the inside out.”
Each of the trading cards in The Prosperity Dimension comes with a quote. Ann’s character’s is:
“Bringing your story to light through transformation.”
She does this in her podcast by helping her guest bring his or her story to light, releasing the secret and shame so they’re no longer hiding. When people do this on a personal level, it can impact their businesses positively and profitably.
