The Prosperity Dimension™ 005: Show Notes
Jennifer’s first book, The Right-Brain Business Plan, was published in 2011. Before this, she was doing a daily art challenge when she decided to do her goals for the following year. She shared them on her blog and received a great response from readers.
“I just kept following that intuition, where my passion was and where people got excited”
She ended up realizing many of the goals from the plan the following year. Through this experience, Jennifer gave Nicole affirmation that you could do things differently, such as combining business and an art project, and be a success.
Jennifer shares that she is an introvert, and was still able to use video summits to broadcast herself to thousands of people. She says that being behind a computer helped, versus being face-to-face with people in large crowds.
After doing her video summits for a number of years, she decided to stop doing them due to the amount of work in preparing them, as well as personal health issues.
“Something new is waiting to emerge and I need to actually have space to figure out what that is”
She was upfront with her tribe about it being the last time that the video summit would be offered.
“Just because something is working and has been working, doesn’t mean you need to keep doing it”
On the character of Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek, Jennifer says she loves his poise and confidence. When he spoke, people listened to what he had to say.
“He’s just very principled; he wants to do the right thing”
She advises others to ask themselves if it’s time to let go and move on from something. To answer this, you can answer a series of questions such as: “Is this still serving you, and what are you feeling drawn to next?”
“Give yourself the permission to not know that answer; trust than in letting go, you give yourself space to allow whatever is to come, to come.”
Jennifer now offers one-on-one coaching, a long-term mentorship program, various self-study courses, VIP sessions and more. She says that by offering individual coaching, she is going back to her roots.
“It’s been really sweet to dive in really deep with these clients who are just doing amazing things”
She says that the movie, The Matrix, is tied in with her coach training, as what you see is not necessarily reality. Nicole adds that the whole theme of the movie was that when you choose to open your eyes, you will find what you’re looking for.
Jennifer notes that you should find whatever brings fun and enjoyment to the work that you do!
